hey guys, i would like to put a foreward mounted red dot on my norinco sks with the tapco stock for around $50. any suggestions? or experience with these?

are these good for fore-mounted position or would i have to get a reciever mount? (i dont want a reciever area mounted sight, just something good but not too expensive that i can mount on the front ) thanks.
I had a rear cover mount on my Yugo but then you need a shell deflector. They can also become sloppy over time and you will be constantly chasing zero on your scope. I tried a gas tube mount and it worked fine with my Simmons scope.
I was unsure about mounting it so far forward, however given its small size, I am able to easily shoot with both eyes open and the red dot just appears on the target. Works well for my 50 year old trifocal supported eyesight. Well good enough to easily and consistently pick off 2 liter bottles at 100 yard with the AK.
Ok now I can make you jealous. My 53 year old bi-focal eyes can hit 30" targets at 900 yards with the iron sights. Granted I've pumped at least 12,000 rounds through mine and I know that gun better than I know some of my friends. I would marry my Yugo if it was possible as it has given me less trouble than either ex-wife.
