Default Red dot or laser sight for HD?

Which do you think is the best way to go?

They are both battery powered. If the battery on the red dot fails you are screwed unless you have a firearm with immediate access back up sights. If the laser quits you still have your irons. Lasers are also good training aids but dont get dependent on them. They can help you smooth out your trigger pull.

A laser also shows exactly where you are.

Very true especially in smoke and fog.

A gun mounted flashlight does too.
