Default Recommendation on a sling for a bolt action rifle

I recently purchased a Marlin X7 in .308 Winchester and have a cheap $7 sling on it that I have had since I can remember. It is a little Wally-World cheapo and I don't really want to keep that particular sling on that rifle. I am looking for something around $40 or less, with quick adjust, and won't slip off my shoulder while I'm in the woods. I would also like for it to assist in shooting from a standing, unsupported position if possible. I am open to all suggestions for slings that meet my first 3 criteria, and if it meets the 4th then bonus. Slings that are way over budget or of a "tactical" nature for AR style weapons are NOT what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Default sling

I like a military sling. When you learn how to use it, all your positions will be covered. It is leather and has to be treated, after which it goes well with a nice stock. Midwest and Brownells have them in your price range. Brownells has a real good one but it's $65.00. Try Cabela's too.

I was looking at the antique leather rifle sling at Cabela's as an option.

Cant go wrong with a leather military sling. The nonslip slings seem to do nothing but slip.
