I'm looking to buy a plate carrier..(without the plates...yet)
I've been looking online and there is suchhhhh a huge range in price.
From like $80 to over $500! (This is without the plates)
I don't get it. What makes them so much better or worse? And can someone recommend one to me that costs around $100?

Are u just wanting something to carry mags with ? I have one , I have plates in it , front rear and side plates .Its hot and heavy with plates 6 full AR mags, 2 full pistol mags and a chest holster . Weighs in around 30# if I remember right . If ur just looking for a chest mag carrier they make them and they are much better for training and a lot cheaper.

Yeah. I'm looking for a plate carrier to eventually put plates on..
I'd take a look at yours..
I just don't know much about them. So I'm not sure on the difference between them. I'll see 2 carrier that look similar but are a few hundred dollars apart and I'm not sure why?

Made in China, made in USA , thats about your $200 difference . I have a Atacs condor , and I really like the way it fits me , I like the adjust ability/ removal of the cummerbund, I use the modular operator which has a map pocket , dont care for that, but its what was available at the time . Light mesh padded interior . I dont have any color pics of it sorry
