ruger just introduced a mag for the ruger scout rifle 10 round 5 round and 3 round versions. the 10 rounds are 39$ down from 99$ and 79$ avg of the original mags. since the bottom metal on the ruger scout is the same as the one on my savage 10 i ordered a 10 rounder to try out.

got it in the mail. it doesnt work with my savage 10. lots of dremel grinding later and it still doesnt work. i got it to fit in the savage but it doesnt feed reliably. even though both the ruger and savage use the exact same bottom metal and mags from aic these polymer mags wont work with all aic rifle metal.

before i started wacking away on the mag i tried loading it and while the follower was easy to depress it did not strip the rounds reliably and would jam in the mag body.

i prolly shoulda just sent it back but i couldnt resist a little bubba smithing with a dremel

i may experiment with it more later.
