Looking for a womans suggestion on a holster for my wife
 

Just bought my wife a Springfield xd9sc for a conceal carry, and I am letting her make her own choice on a holster. She is a very curvy woman and 5'4" and top heavy. She is hellbent on a bellyband and wants to carry either underneath the "girls" or on her side (between her hip and armpit). IMO, that doesn't seem like it would a: support this type of weapon, and b: I think it will print. Please help, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!!

The only way to know if it will print is to try it. If she's big on top, she might be able to carry like that with out printing.

This method of carrying appeals to me though I haven't tried it.

My oldlady has a univeral inside the waistband holster (thats pink) that she uses with a Glock 17 and she puts it at 6 o'clock and the only way you can tell that she has it on her is if she bends over or squats down and you can see a bump on her pants but other that that she says it works great. She bought one of those purses but i told her that it really wasnt a good idea to keep her firearm in a purse so we were at a gun show by our house and she found the one she has now. I think it cost us like $20 and its nice leather and they had one on display that was holding a Glock and one that had a full size 1911. I will get back to you on the manufacture of the holster when i get home, hope this helps.

Winds, was it you I showed this holster to? I showed someone here and they said they were interested in trying it out. We were curious if anyone else had opinions on it and which weapon they were using for carry. My wife uses a Taurus Millennium Pro 9mm, but she is thinking of a different EDC.

I thought so. My wife wants to carry a S&W 3913LS (ladysmith) which is a little bigger than the Taurus. She is pretty big up top which hides the print well, not to sure how much bigger she can go though (as far as a firearm) lol. IWB holsters are out of the question for her. She refuses to have to buy any pants in a bigger size then she needs. Lol

Urban, I have a xd9sc w/ IWB cb supertuck deluxe and wear the same size jeans. But may depend on type of gun I suppose.

I carry IWB also and I never had to change the size of my pants either. Her problem is that she is 6'1" and finding pants to fit correctly the first time is a task for her. If she goes bigger in pants size, the jeans get baggie in the legs and she doesn't want that. I tried to explain that its the sacrifice she has to make for IWB carry. This is also the reason she settled on the flashbang holster.
