Default Light for a XDm 3.8" compact .45 acp

My buddy picked up a smaller streamlight for his I think he got it on sale for around $70 + and it works good

I can't recommend one as I don't like lights, lasers, bayonets
or beanie propellers on my carry/defense gun. One downside
to having a light is guaranteeing that the bad guy will have
a good shot at your head or torso, depending on how you're
holding your weapon, just by aiming at the light. Remember
you're not one of the SWAT guys and you don't have 4
other SWAT guys backing you up. Just my $.02.

@trex: those are valid points. I live in IL so no carrying from me; sadly

However, I was thinking of maybe a laser. The light giving my position away did cross my mind. My propose of use is a home defense pistol. Also, I'm not battle trained so I was thinking the laser may benefit me in the 'point & shoot.' Being that it is has a small illumination point it may not give away my position as easily.
