x2 on this...cheap-o lasers normally do not hold zero and won't last long. Avoid any and all airsoft crap. You'd be better off with a maglite and some duct tape.

Since you're looking for something to keep in your nightstand, I highly recommend spending the money. Seriously...what is your life worth?

Default Cheap Lasers

I once bought a laser for my glock off of eBay. It was marketed for firearms not just airsoft. I installed it on my rail, fired one shot and it cracked and fell off.

I would avoid the cheap stuff or you'll have to buy another.

This is about the cheapest pistol mounted light out there:

NCStar Pistol/Rifle LED Light

And here is a cheap light/laser combo:

NCStar Red Laser Sight/Light

NCStar is decent quality for casual use, but if you need a high quality light then stick to Streamlight or Surefire.
