Default Harris bipod

Is a Harris bipod worth the money?

I guess it depends on how you plan to use it, I have a Shooter Ridge bipod, It works great, Its not the top of the line, Nor am I going into battle with it.
IIRC Harris run from $70 and up.
Good luck

I have the 1A2-LM model, costed me around $80. Yes IMO its very worth it. It's expendable from 6-9". And i had to get the adapter so that it can be put on my AR. The adapter costs around $20.

I have a Harris on my 7mm Rem. Mag. rifle because it has a very heavy recoil and I think it can take the abuse. However, for my .22's and even my AR-15 that have little or no recoil, I use the Harris look alikes that are sold under names like Caldwell, Shooter's Ridge and Winchester for about half the price of the Harris. While I'm sure the materials are not the same as the Harris, they are almost indistinguishable in form & fashion otherwise. They work very well and I haven’t had a single problem with any of them over years of use.

Walmart sells a decent bi-pod, i cant remember the brand. I had one on my M70 for 5 years, it did really good. It looks identical to a Harris, but a little cheaper

If you need the best then Harris is worth the money. If you don't need the best then others will do.

I've got a Harris bipod that I've had for at least 15 years and it's just as good as the day I bought it, despite heavy use. I doubt most of the knock offs would hold up as well?

I am considering a harris because if I'm sticking $1500 into a .308 I might as well have a good bipod
