Gun Belt - Cheap Kid
Just bought my son his first pistol.
S&W M&P 9mm.
I also bought him.....
Kydex holster and double magazine holder
A third 17 rnd magazine
Gun Rug
Gun safe
Bore Snake & Cleaning kit
Ammo can and 500 rounds of ammo
I did buy him a lifetime of professional firearm training!! I am done..
I will be damned if I buy him a gun belt for the range.
I personally wear a 5.11 tactical casual leather with permastiff cuz I CCW with a crossbreed every day. Kid doesn't want to spend that money.
Any suggestions for a decent yet inexpensive functional belt no bigger than 1 1/2 inch width.
He's 23 and doesn't want to compromise his cool factor with something Dad would wear and wants to keep it under $25
He is saving up for more ammo. He thinks 2,000 rounds is the minimum he should have on hand.
Since his b-day isn't till December he is on his own for the rest if the stuff.
.

What is his waist size? I have a belt somewhere that doesn't fit. Can't think of the brand but its well built. If I can find it ....(and that's a big if ) you can have it.

As you know a good gun belt is a good thick belt that will not develop a roll over after years of weight from the holster. Put the word gun in it and the price goes way up. But I actually found a great belt at Wal-mart for 12 bucks I ran across it a couple years ago and it's been the only belt that hasn't developed a roll from my work uniform and it was just yesterday I went back and pick one up for a dedicated gun belt. It has three holes side by side the length of the belt the one in center is slightly larger than the others where the buckle goes through it. That's another plus never need to punch holes to fit.

My big boy is a 38 in waist..
Kycool,
Any idea of the brand of that belt.
He is not going to CCW so that sounds like a good possibility.
Thank You

If you just want practical and like a nylon belt, check out the 5.11 TDU belt. I have one and they work REALLY well, they arent expensive either.
