Hey guys whats up, I have a Ruger 10/22... here is a picture of it


Can you mount a bipod on this rifle? It has a barrel band at the end, you can see it in the picture, can it connect to that some how?

This is my first gun so I am unfamiliar with this stuff right now, so I don't know how a bipod connects.

If someone could help me out and tell me if I could connect one or not or if I have to buy other parts or drill a hole in it to make it work or what ever I have to do would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 1022 but have never looked into a bipod for it. Did a quick check at cheaper than dirt and found this. A replacement for the barrel band that can then accept a rail mounted bi pod.

RGR-008 - Ruger 10/22 Carbine Tactical Barrel Band ProMag Picatinny and Weaver Rail Sling Loop

And then a small bipod.

BIPOD-202 - Leapers UTG Extra Low Bipod Steel Feet Rail Swivel Mount

After market bipods, such as the Winchester, usually attached to a sling swivel stud. The stud has a hole that passes thru left to right. Bipod has a pin that fits in that hole, and snugs down when you turn setscrew on bipod. You would need the specific mount that Jo just showed you, and not an "off the shelf" generic bipod.

Oh ok I see how I have to do it now...you think I could find a cheaper barrel band than that?

Also what about this that I just found....

Looks like the first piece fits in the barrel band? If so would that work as well? Would that extend to far out making the bipod not lat flat?

This option looks a little cheaper so I may go with this if you guys think it might work....

I have a Harris bipod on one of my 10/22's (actually it's for sale...). Pretty easy to attach to the swivel mount.
