Default Belly Bands?

Hey yall,
A lot of people I know have suggested I get a belly band. Does anyone know any nice quality brands I can get? I don't really care about the price...I just don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

They are hot. Here in AZ it would be soaked which is why I go to pocket carry when the weather warms up.

I think you would find one very hot and uncomfortable most of the time. Especially in warmer or hot weather. That is the reason I do not have one. And unless you wear a shirt under it and over it, it is a killer on the weapons finish due to the acid and salt content of the person's sweat! But there is another issue that comes to mind if you carry your CCW in one place in the cold weather and another in hot or warm weather. One should carry his or her backup or CCW Pistol in the same place all the time! At least the weapon should be on the same side and close to the same location! This because in a critical situation when adrenaline and instinct takes over normal thinking does not happen. It will be only "reaction to the threat"! During those times one might go for the weapon in the wrong place. And move to draw the weapon where they may have had it in the past at a previous location! Not a good practice to change locations and types of carry.
Only my two cents!

Thanks for all the advice guys. I never thought about it but you're all right, they do seem like they'd be pretty hot.

Have only known 1 guy that used one daily. He was an LEO that all day long served arrest warrants that other people had sworn out. He made about 4-5 arrests every shift.

He had been cut about 6 times and shot 3 times. He carried 3 guns- one was a Chief's Special in a belly band.

Everyone else I know that tried one found it hot, uncomfortable, and developed an understanding of women's dislike for girdles.
