I need to know what i need to look for and how much it would cost for a spring for my leveraction .22 western field. When i got it the guy said that a spring was miising adn it caus's it to jam and won't load. What is my problem and what do i need to do?

Western Field is a "house brand". They didn't actually make any guns.
The first thing you need to do is post the Western Field model number
so it can be cross referenced to the actual manufacturer and model.

Then it may be possible to go to the Gun Parts (Numrich) website or
another source and figure out which spring is missing, then purchase
a replacement spring if available.

Or you could just take it to a competent gunsmith and get it fixed.
