On the rare occasions that I OC, the sight of my C&L stainless long slide in a tiny JIT slide is mighty impressive to the common folks...

I'm with everyone else. It's all about the visible hammer. Embarassingly, that used to be me.

My dad is a gun guy. All of his guns around when I was growing up were either long guns or revolvers. I've shot alot of revolvers. Now, he's a glhaock....guy. I just get him to convert. 66yrs old though, he's set in his ways.

I'm finally free of my ignorance and in the market for a 1911 by the way.

And it only took a year of peer pressure and brow beating to drag you out of the cave and into the sunlight.

Yeah, only a few months to do that. The rest to conjure up a scheme on how to pay for it.

I didn't think I'd be getting much back on my taxes because of Odumba, but alas............ I have some dough rolling in specifically designated to the purchase and I already have 500rds of .45 on hand.....muuustt gettt mooooorrreee!

It is absolutely all you guys fault! Thank you!

^^^ *LOL at Goju*

You have been infected by the dreaded 1911 Virus. It replicates and demands that you buy more of them. Pretty soon you are selling old guns you thought were reliable and will soon be getting your very own soap box to mount upon and preach the 1911 Gospel.

This is a good thing. Trust us.

I keep telling you guys that 1911s are addictive.

And the Colt addiction is contagious!

Goju, take my word for it as a new convert, once you buy one you'll want more. I've had my Kimber less then a year and I would LOVE to add another 1911 to my collection. I'm sure you'll be the same, now that you're not afriad of them.

Why are people scared of 1911s?

Obviously, because many people like us, own and use them very proficiently.
