What is your magazine of choice?
I,ve been reading and researching as many different makes and models of mags for the 1911 that I can find. So far I've tried Springfieldk Colt, Chip Mccormick, and Colt. SO far, the Colts are the only ones to give me any trouble whatsoever. I just ordered a couple Checkmate Hybrids to try out.
I know some use one make follower and spring and another tube.
Which ones are your preference and why?

I have about 30 magazines I use with my 1911s. About half are Wilsons and the others are McCormicks. I use Checkmates with my Commander...

I bought my 1911 slightly used, with no magazines.
At the time I bought it, we didn't have any 1911 mags in stock at my store.
So I went across town to another gun store and picked up a few Chip McCormick 8 rd power mags, haven't had any problems yet.

I like Tripp, Wilson, and Kimber ProTac. All three are top notch IMO.

I've been using Chip McCormick's and Wilson's. However, I've found that my personal preferences really don't matter, it whatever the pistol likes. My Sistema hates Les Baer and MecGar mags, but my CBOB and TRS loved 'em.
Don't worry so much about brand names, find what works and is reliable, then stick with it.

Well, I have some Checkmate Hybrids, Tripps, and Chip McCormicks on the way. I'll try em in my New LW Commander and My Springer Loaded next week and report after.
Stay tuned. May have some mags for the For Sale ads soon
