Para G.I. Expert cost me $499+tax. Its made in The United States of America. It has a very good trigger, sights, and barrel. It is a very accurate gun and the finish is top notch. Its a very good platform in which to tweak and upgrade for the next couple years. Looking forward to it.

I personaly just bought my first 1911 a couple months ago and I think they look better without a rail. I like the timeless design of it without the rail. Personal preference and both have there place in the world.

Rails on 1911s are only good if you need them, a few friends that are leos carry sig 1911s with a streamlight tlr3. I like the looks of that

I lust after a Razorback 10mm 1911, but a RIA in 10mm is more realistically in my future.

I agree, if there is a need for it then great. I have a Springer TRP and its my carry weapon so I dont have a need for the rail.
