Default Two of my favorite Colts

I like Colts. So here are two of my favorites. Just stumbled on these pics while looking for something on my camera.

Here is my mint, unfired 1937 Ace. It has the matching 2 tone mag.

And here is a 1932 Commercial Gov't Model, all orig. Sewer pipe bbl but shoots like a dream. I have the original walnut stocks but liked these WW1 vintage diamond pattern, so dropped them on. The seam between the ejector and the frame is barely visible. They really knew how to build them back then. It is box stock, 100% original and works 100% flawlessly. The inside of the slide is finished better than most guns exterior's today. Former Mexico City Police Gun. If only she could talk....

The dummy mark was on it when I got it, in case you were wondering.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Very nice.

The temptation to shoot that Ace would be terrible for me. You're a better man than me to keep it unfired.

Thanks! I paid $179 for the .45, but that was back in the 80's. Ha. Sold it once, and got it back about 5 years later. Whew.

I'm with you. The temptation to shoot it is always there.

I need a shooter to take the Jones away. Have a line on a clean Service Model Ace, but have not sealed the deal yet.

Great guns you got there. I can appreciate the fact that it's unfired but couldn't do it. It's like a muscle car, it was ment to be driven. I would have an EXTREMELY hard time not at least trying it.

20 years ago I would have fired it. Now I'd rather buy a shooter and keep this one pristine. It may need to help pay for my daughter's college someday. Ha.

But it is tempting.
