The 460 is all substance and little hype. What's not to like about 44 Rem Mag performance in a 1911 auto loader?

Here's a good read:

Big Thunder II Vs. Fenrir: The 1911 .460 Rowland Build Off

460 Rowland .... done the Canebrake way!
That was a fun thread.... that I won!!

The "Canebrake Way" had him twiddling his thumbs in the sun for months waiting for the mighty Colt to be custom hand fit to the drop in kit.

I got so tired of waiting for the great unveil I moved on to other projects and tests for the forum and sold off the kit to stalkingbear.

The .460 Rowland is a hell of a round. People will, quite literally, stop what they are doing and ask each other "What the HELL is that guy shooting?" when you start in on the target. More often then not they will ask you if it's a .50 AE

The ammo is expensive, and it's not super common, so plan on reloading if you go this route.

It's definitely something that needs to be experienced first hand to be appreciated. The thing is a beast of a round.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
