Thumbs up for Wilson Combat
 

Installed the Wilson Combat Mag Well in stainless and couldn't be happier!
Had to use a rubber mallet to get it in and there's a hairline gap between the part and the magazine but thats fine with me
Then had to cut away some of the grip to prevent it from bulging at the bottom and it worked almost perfect
With my wilson combat 47D magazine in it...it looks beautiful!

Now waiting to replace the 2 piece guide rod with a stainless flgr from wilson combat!

Thinking about getting some grip tape maybe

Take a look at some skateboard shops in your area. They have various degrees of tact, lots of colors, and if you end up not liking it, it comes right off. ;)

One of the simplest solutions is to use the basic Pachmayr wrap around grips. I have lots of pretty grips for 1911s - but I shoot with the Pach's. I've owned a few with a checkered front strap and it can be very aggressive and tough on your hands. As JD said, skateboard tape is quite effective as well...

That looks great! I like the wilson addition, makes it look even better.
