Thinking About Selling All of My 1911s in 45

I'm really seriously contemplating selling all my 1911s in 45 and replacing them with 1911s in 10mm and 9mm. I've kind of fallen out of love for the 45 round. I don't use any of my 1911 for defense, so the 45 doesn't really do anything else that the 10mm can't do better. And for range fun and target shooting, I've really gotten a liking for a 9mm 1911. It's a lot of fun to shoot and cheaper to reload than the 45.

Am I crazy for considering this?

You would only be crazy if you don't sell me one for super cheap.

????

You can ship them all to me, I will make a nice home for them... all my 1911's are in .45 ACP

Maybe raffle one of them off on here,or for your business as a fund raiser. I'm sure enough tickets will sell that you would have enough to cover the gun and donate the rest.

Wait, for real, I'm getting married and she wants a 1911. I'm thinking perfect wedding gift.

I've been debating on building from parts too. Or just buying one new. I don't know.

I hope she doesn't read this. Y'all hurry up and post, bury this comment.

I will up the ante of Trip and Jstrong.

I've had a case of internet beer sitting on ice.

I'd be a little nervous about doing a raffle for one for fear of not selling enough tickets to cover the cost. It would be different if I had some $300-$500 guns. I would feel pretty confident that enough tickets could be sold to cover that amount.

I would get into the raffle.

One way to do this is accept only personal checks and a condition that the raffle will not go if there are not enough funds. Keep track of donors with a spreadsheet to have name and address..
Have a "cut-off" date.

If there is not enough money to cover expenses, then refund the money.
If there is enough money, then continue the raffle.
If there is too much money, call me and we'll get a steak dinner somewhere.
