I have a Taurus PT-145, Taurus Protector Poly 38+p and Ive carried the 45 for a few years now and its a fine little pistol, if it wasn't I wouldn't be carrying it. I think the Taurus 1911 is quite a bit of gun for the money. I carry the 38 when Im going light. Ive heard all the interney garbage but I have yet to have problems with one.

My current 1911 is a Para G.I. Expert. Another fine gun for the money.
