Congrats! The C3 is a CCO configuration which Kimber does not offer. It's also one that I used to have. Great little gun. I just told mine and bought a Dan Wesson CCO.

I've got a Kimber Compact which is an Officer frame and Commander slide, or does something else define the CCO?

Didn't know they had a model like that. All I've ever seen were a Ultras, Pros, and full size.

I thought they had it in a few different models, but just checked the website and I guess the Stainless Compact is the only one. Got mine for around $750ish last year, and it's been more than worth the money.

Thanks again for the perspectives. Picked up the Sig last night. People at the counter were making offers while I was completing the transfer papers! Can't wait to get out to the range.

I don't think you'll regret your decision. My Sig 1911 has been flawless since it came out of the box.

I like the Kimbers...owned a dozen over many years with a ton of rounds thru all of them and not a single problem. I will say though, its a "to each his own" issue. Find the one YOU like and shoot well and use it...not the one SOMEBODY ELSE (including me) tells you is the best.
