STI Trojan. I have owned a 70 series Colt, nice pistol but it just wasn't a love affair.

I recently acquired a STI Lawman (my 2nd STI) and it is a love affair. I find the fit & finish of the STI to be superior to everything else that I have handled in the same price range. Prior to the Lawman purchase I considered the Dan Wesson Point Man, preferred the STI. I have handled a few 1911's working as a RSO at a local range, so I do have a basis for my opinions.

I am one very picky shooter, especially about triggers, the Lawman is the first out of the box shooter that I don't feel the need to lighten or smooth the trigger, just about 4 pounds and smooth!

At the end of the day, its all just my opinion & preferences. Handle both, shoot both if at all possible then buy what makes you smile.

Happy shopping/shooting.
