Here are the first five shots at five yards. Measures a little less than 3 inches. I'll do better when I get used to it. After shooting so much with double stack grips I have to get used to a completely different feel when gripping the gun.

Welcome to 1911 heaven! Well, I'm not sure Springers are heaven, but they're in the same area code.

I tried to upload from photobucket, but pics aren't coming through. I've done this in other forums, but there is something here that I don't have right.
Yep, CKF is a good guy. I was actually the first owner of your pistol. She was a special order through and I haven't seen another like her since. I traded it to him for a Sig P229 Equinox a few months ago. I wish I had kept her. Enjoy it. They don't get much more unique from the factory than that one. I'm thinking about picking up a Para Ordnance with similar treatment next. I've shot 2 now and had really good luck with the. BTW, that one is (or at least was) a really tight lockup. She liked to run a little wet.
Enjoy, see ya round.

We'll have to get a KS meet some time so you can visit your old 1911 sometime. I noticed that he had it well oiled. When the hammer dropped it misted.

Maybe I'll have to take you up on that. I do miss her. I currently have to drive out to Wichita to get to a decent range because the local range is "Private" anyway. I seem to run into members of KSCCW a lot at Bullseye and Bullet Stop. I hang out on KSCCW a lot more than around here lately. Especially after I seen a FTF moderator advise the forum members in the Concealed Carry threads (in no uncertain terms) that it is a good idea for civillians to carry rope to tie up "perpertrators" after being forced to shoot them And to fake CPR for show... Like I'm going to touch a bleeding bad guy who could have Hepititus or AIDS after he just tried to hurt someone LOL I kinda started hanging out "over there". Since you are in law enforcement, I'm sure you can appreciate where I'm coming from. Imagine my surprise though to find my old SA 1911 Loaded staring me in the face after I happened to login out of the blue. BTW, we can always use good law enforcement perspective on the forums. Thanks!
