Default Springfield EMP trigger pull

I recently purchased the Springfield EMP and it is a great piece, except the trigger has way too much creep for me. I can't seem to remove the ambi safety to remove the sear and normal 1911 takedown procedure does not seem to work. I don't want to damage anything. Any tricks or procedure on how to get this thing apart would be appreciated.
