It's true, but its stainless finish and it'll come out whenever I put enough holster wear on it to go get it blasted again

With all the fair warnings here in the forum? Dammit man!

When I got mine, that was really the ONLY thing I knew about it! Single action, semi auto, idiot scratch...

I was about the same when I picked mine up,just knew that I HAD to have one. Abd that was all I needed to know. But it's my EDC so its not the only scratch on it.

Mine has plenty of holster wear, but it also has a chip in the grip where some douchetard state trooper dropped it.

Thanks for the explanations guys!

I know I started this as a Springfield 1911 thread

But I've seen a para ordinance black ops 1911 for sale, a friend says they're low end and quality

Got opinions similar? Or suffering? It's the 8rnd version so single stack

And says brand new

Para has mixed reviews. From what I've heard, you lose quite a bit of parts flexibility. They supposedly build to slightly proprietary specs, meaning a lot of parts aren't interchangeable.

I'm not too worried about changing parts to start more having the gun and getting used to as a first gun

Also apart from armslist does anyone know of any sites that have a private sake section? I'm in Colorado

i forgot where i saw it, but someone makes a little piece of aluminum the fits around the mag release to prevent the "idiot" scratch. comes in all sizes and colors.

Yet again guys you are a fountain of knowledge

Just re-doing my question I found a loaded Springfield 1911 for sake what I deem to be a good price etc

Are there any websites that are a forum for private sale also? As I'm having trouble getting ahold of the seller of the gun I'm currently very interested in
