Springfield armory champion operator

Anybody have any experience with this handgun? heard the trigger is a little hard out of the box. Will it loosen up or can a gunsmith make it pull lighter? Have a clean gun with only 200 rnds. For 850.00. Fair price?

Normal usage will smooth the parts and make the trigger seem lighter or you can have a smith tune the trigger. I would try to get 500 rounds through it first to see if there are any other things that you want a smith to look at.

I presume you already bought the handgun. $850 seems like a decent price, but, as my nature, I would try to get it cheaper. I wonder why someone would sell a 1911 with so few rounds if there was not a problem or concern.

I have not purchased yet. I had the same concerns as to why they want to sell. I will ask them now. Seems like he is stuck on 850.00 though.

If it's the one I'm thinking that's about $100 high. He wants a NIB price for a used gun. Doesn't matter how used, it's used.
