I looked at both and just couldn't go with the SA built springfield my little brother's has always stove piped not matter what ammo he use's and he's sent it back before and it stopped doing it for a while but last time we went to the range it was a stove piping mofo, I went with the Remington and haven't looked back.

I narrowed my choice to the R1 & a SA Range Officer. I chose the RO. I just felt like it was a tighter gun. Plus I knew that it was a forged frame vs. cast frame. I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference, but I read about the it in my research & it stuck in my mind. I know I can't shoot enough ammo to break a cast frame, but once I get something in my mind it is there. I went with the forged frame.
