Yep, know a fella with a comp, IIRC shoots 155 or 160 grain 45acp over 1000fps.

I know people with them too. But I've never seen a comp on a competition gun that didn't have a competition trigger or extended mag well. For that to be the only part of the gun that seems competition oriented I'd say we were giving the guy too much credit. Too many third party parts on that to make me believe its a barrel mounted compensator.

That, and I'll say that if I built/bought myself a nice little race/competition gun, I'd hardly be interested in trading it for a nice 10/22. I'm just trying to be logical here.

Here's the other pic he sent of it like I said he bought it used prolly bc he thought it looked cool idk but it is a threaded barrel

Well that changes things! Lol. As long as its not a bushing comp then it's a-ok in my book. Could very well be something someone got for hot loads. I suddenly like that deal a little more for some reason. :-)

may also depend on what type of competition shooting or class they were shooting in.
