Get er done before the guy wakes up & changes his mind, wait have you even handled it or taken it & shot it yet?? Might be A good idea to go shoot it, unless you know the guy & trust him.

Even if all of the parts are not fitted properly, and you have to tune that .45 up, it is worth a lot more than the .22 with the heavy barrel. We don't have enough info to work with but I think I am seeing a $600.00 .45 there.

What have you got in the .22? $300 maybe?

exactly. now i do see an atermarket grip safety, possibly a different trigger and hammer, ambi saftey and of course the comp. to me it really wouldn't matter whether a gunsmith did it or someone's DIY job. i still think the trade would be a good one.

See, that's kind of what I was expecting. It's a decent .45 and I say decent lightly, for your very nice 10/22. I'm sure you know how well your 10/22 works but that .45 could just be junk. I would definitely get my hands on it before I committed to anything. But then again, it's your money. :-)

Also,
Anytime I see someone trying to get rid of a .45 with a bushing comp on it I laugh. Comps nowadays are pointless and when they're on 1911's it's usually because buddy want his gun to looks badass! Lmao.

for the most part i do agree with you on the comp, but looking at the pistol, it's quite possible someone set it up to use hotter ammo shooting competition. if so, then it would be useful. if not, then it's more for looks a you said.
