Worst range trip I've ever had. FTE damn near 50% of the time with the factory mag, and about 30% with a Wilson mag I had. It did the exact same thing every time, the empty casing was still in the barrel and the next round jammed in behind it. I really don't want to send it in. Help?

I was using WWB ammo. Not my pic, but this is what it was doing.

Give the guys at STI a call. If they can't help you over the phone, they will set up shipping for repairs. Their turnaround time is quick, so while it may seem like a long time, they will send the gun back in full working order making the wait worthwhile.

STI has the best customer service in the industry.

I second the comment on customer service. Had a small issue that was resolved quickly, professionally, and without charge. STI may charge a little more up front for their products, but they stand behind them unequivocally. You will not be disappointed.

Sent an email to STI Tech Support. I'm guessing they're going to say "send it in", but holding out a sliver of hope they have some super simple fix for me.

After three long weeks it's back! Almost like "new gun day" all over again. Corrected the extractor and reamed the chamber. No idea what's involved with reaming a chamber ((there's a softball for you), but it sounds important. 3 mags at the shop with no malfunction.

Should I assume that a cleaning/oiling is required, or do they typically do that after a repair session?

Err on the side of caution, clean and lube.

200 rounds, no issues. Much happier with my purchase now.
