Ok so in total I have 5 1911's 4 of them pony's. 2 of the pony's are primarily safe queens that I may or may not shoot. I was thinking about keeping them nice for my sons when they come of age.... The other two are shooters. One is a 1991 with a low round count and the other is what I lovingly like to call is frankncolt. It's a full size frame with a commander slide. I want to put on some sort of fiber optic sight because my eyes don't like to focus on the stock sights. So what would you suggest? The current sights are staked in and I really don't want to go have these guns milled

You may want to call Mr. Novak or check the web site for some ideas, I have 3 dot Novak night sight on one of my 1911's which I carry and shoot a great deal and aquisition and sight pictures are great, day and night,, my Nighthawk has Heine 2 dot night sights which are tall to accomodate the can and are also extremely good sights,, they help my old eyes more than I want to admit.
I like Novak but I really don't want to take the slides to be milled out. What confuses me is the different heights of the sights. What height should i look at

measure the front sight and match accordingly. they will usually list the height of the sights.
