Well as much as I love my Platinum Elite, I wanted a couple of features that it didn't have. I like the drilled trigger and the magwell that come on the STI model I believe it is. I wanted to get genuine Sig parts but Sig seems to not want to part with their ingredients without them baking the pie for you. So with that said I had to order a Colt Match Grade trigger and Magwell.

But that's not the Best part, I took my pistol back to SSGtactical in Fredericksburg Va where I purchased it to have them install the parts because I wasn't to confident with my ability to install the trigger.

I took it in and the owner Kurt took it in back and installed everything while I waited which I though was great because I didn't have to leave or be without my firearm for a day or two. He came out after about an hour and told me never bring him a Sig to work on again, I told him he shouldn't have sold it to me then.

I checked everything out and it looked perfect and functioned perfectly. I asked him what I owed him and to my surprise (and why I have been giving him and his shop free advertisement) he said I didn't owe him anything! I think I spend more time in the shop than some of his staff so he said he was sure that he would get it out of me in the future.

So with out further delay here are the pics, the before and after please feel free to tell me what you think.

Does any anyone else have one of these because I was looking at another 1911 forum and a couple of people said they had platinum elites and when they posted their pictures it had the letters GSR on the slide and I couldn't make out the word platinum on it anywhere.

I just added a set of crimson trace grips so to me it looks like a full size C3

So I guess you could call it a C5 Platinum Elite.

Hell I like it

I have a GSR, a Platinum Elite, and a Nitron Carry... all have performed flawlessly... ("Platinum Carry" is etched on the right side of the slide)

The Platinum Elite sure is an attractive piece. Its great out the box but with a few modifications I think it rivals alot of the top name 1911 out there.
