Default Sig C3 Any good?

I ran up on a deal on a Sig C3 with the CT grips today and was wondering if anyone has one that can give me some info on it. I have read several reviews that praise it and have herd the stories about Sig's 1911 platform not doing so well. I am planning on looking at it tomorrow. Thanks for any help you can give.

I own a Sig STX 1911 and it is absolutely flawless. Not familiar with the C3 though but I have been very impressed with it. About 1000 rounds so far w/no hiccups. Get complimented all the time on it. I say get it. Here's a pic if mine.

I have a Sig C3 and I love it. I use it as one of my carry pistols. If you can pick one up you will not be sorry. Feels great in the hand and shoots even better. Mine did not come with CT grips but would love to see a set on it. Good luck.

Thanks for the encouragement, it felt great in my hand, and is brand new for $500. It just sounded too good to be true, I am going to pick it up this Friday. Being new to the 1911 format guns I have been looking for a gun to build when I found this one, the build will just have to wait a little while.

Sig 1911s are excellent and underrated guns. I believe the C3 model is considered a CCO (commander barrel and slide on an officer frame).

$500 does sound too good to be true. Look it over and ensure that the gun is actually new, and not used. That gun sells new for $769 at Bud's. So either the dealer doesn't know what he has or there is something else going on. I would be cautious. The CT grips cost $200ish by themselves.

It's either the deal of the year or there will be something fishy about it.

You know what "they" say about a deal that sounds too good to be true.
