Should I get this Cbob??
The cbob I am considering buying is a 2009 model. My question is whether the 2010 model that much better than the 2009 model. The guy wants $1200.
I am considering looking around for a 2010 but know they are not easy to come by. Anyone who can shed some light on this subject, please do. Thanks, Getem |

+1 on Olympus.
Seems like a decent price. Look at the sticky on buying a used 1911. |
I have not shot one. Do either of you two have experience with them?

Didn't they change to forged lowers for 2010 and up? I've had a 2010 Heritage and a VBOB and liked them both a great deal. If the price is right and you like the gun go for it.

Improvements were made for 2010, but it's not like they reinvented the wheel. Primarily 2010 entailed Parts upgrades (Ed Brown parts, among others) and they went to forged frames across the board. I have an older (2005) PM7, and it's sweet. You might be able to knock the price down some since it's a "less desirable" 2009 model. Worth a try anyway. |

Pretty much guarantee you'll not knock the price down. There is no such thing as a "less desirable CBOB". If the seller posted that gun on a forum classified for that price, I promise it would be sold in minutes. Seen it too many times.
Prices for DW guns will only continue to go up. Pass on this one and I bet you'll pay more for the next one. |
