shot 1911 today for 1st time
so i shot a .45 1911 today for the first time. Might i say i really enjoyed it, i still love my .357 mag service six revolver, but i may consider getting a 1911 one day, would have to be sa/da though

I'm almost 100% sure that you can't get a SA/DA 1911.

I've never seen one, don't really see the point though as i carry mine cocked and locked anyway

In my opinion the 1911 trigger is as good as it gets a SA/DA would probably ruin it.

They make em, just gotta search for em, (colt makes a da 1911), but if i dont find one i like that i can afford ill stick with something that has the features i want.

As does Para, I know that there are DA 1911s, but am unaware of any both DA and SA

i held one at the range a few weeks ago, im just too exhausted right now to remember the maker, it was very nice.
