Default Shooter Arms

Does anyone know if the Shooter Arms 1911's are series 70 or 80's. thanks in advance.

It has no FPS. In Colt speak, it's a Pre-Series 80.

Colt Series-70 used a collet bushing. I presume your doesn't.

i had never heard of them until you mentioned them in this thread and had to check out their website. i kind of like what i saw. from the pictures, they seem to be well made and they look good to boot. if they are like any of the other 1911's made in the Phillipine Islands, they should be excellent pistols. so far i have failed to see any prices on them yet. i might have to search further.

keeping tuned to this thread to see what others find out about them.

Century International was selling them for $450 until their stock was depleted and I didn't see them listed in the last last catalog I received. My shooting partner bought one sometime ago and has had no problems with it that I know of.

It is another firearms manufacturer from the PI.

My concern would be on aftermarket parts fitting without major modification.

They have them at Gander Mountain but they are $549 http://centerfiresystems.com/SA-ELITE45.aspx here they are $399 and they also have a commander for the same price.

Just like Metro Arms and RIA all parts will fit. Nothing needed that a Colt or SA wouldn't need.
