The S&W is a reliable gun out of the box so there's no need to throw "stuff" in it unless you are having problems. I've owned 2 of the same model you have and I never changed out anything. Invest in good magazines and shoot it...

I think you handled this baptism-of-fire rather well.

My response was assuming your parts search was for items other than the specific firing pin block items.

I agree with the members that before you push the purchase button on any item for your gun that you ask if it's intended and will fit your Smith & Wesson stainless 1911, model #108282.

That, or trade it in for a real* 1911 and get a Colt.

* Real 1911's don't have an external extractor.

But they did in 1905.

Anyway, when there is a problem, then you can worry about the gunparts. Until then I am reasonably sure your S&W is as reliable as you could want.

Are you trying to tell me your thunderbird is better than my md 20/20?

As i am only 58, and i realize you are much, much older than i, i need your valuable input in a detailed, intelligent essay. Many will be waiting with baited breath (out of mouth wash), as i may also (if it doesn't interfer with my captain kangaroo reruns). You have my word, sir cane, that i will give you the same reverence i give to my hustler magazines in my bathroom.

so, sir cane, come forth, and speak!

wtf??.........

Many of us have a great sense of humor and we joke around a lot. This being said, it might be better to establish yourself a bit and develop some credibility (this thread hasn't helped you any) before you go poking at an esteemed member, moderator, and fountain of knowledge. YMMV...
