Default Series 70/80 1911

What is the difference between the Series 70 and 80? And is there any disadvantages to the 80?

Default Series 80

Series 80 have the firing pin blocking safety device.....making it much more work to get a clean, crisp trigger pull.

Series 70 had a collet type bushing which wheh they fail, locks up the slide. Better to change out to a solid match bushing fitted to your slide & barrel.

Look at other than Colts in a 1911 will get more features for the $$$ .
