I have a .45 hard chromed Monolith Heavy Weight with a few options - great gun, shoots like a 9mm because of the weight. Hard chrome looks good and avoids the Les Baer "servicable" bluing.

I had a Thunder Ranch Special a few years back. It was the tightest pistol I ever had and it was smooth as silk. It was a good shooter too. I sold it when something else caught my fancy.
