Link is to an article on the Charles Daly M-5. A POLYMER 1911. Just like obama, it appeases both sides. Enough to get the glock fanboys on board, and the traditional styling crafted by the great Browning for the 1911 enthusiast.

I'm just joking. :D But there are all steel Glocks now. You can buy a steel frame for you 21 and a few others, but that's only been out for a year or so.

As for the M-5, its a straight rip-off from the Bul M-5 that an Israeli company in the 1990s tried. I read about this from a website a little while back so it was kind of odd to see this thread just after seeing the original M-5.

As for it being wrong? Well that's personal opinion. I think it serves to fill a niche that has been forgotten about. I wont be getting one because I have both a Glock and a 1911 that are both reliabe. I'd classify it as a comprise I suppose.

I saw a polymer Kimber at the local gun store a week ago.

Kimber has a polymer 1911, but why? I'd rather have an XD than a polymer 1911.

The metal framed Glocks also have a 1911-ish rake to the grip. Robar makes them...I'd like a black frame/nickle chromed slide G21 version.

If only it could be had with wooden grips... No matter, I'd buy it.

The polymer 1911 however...I actually passed on the Kimber and bought my Taurus PT1911 and a case of ammo instead. Specifically due to the plastic frame. I simply don't like it. The trigger guard is also thick...ewwww.

Nuttin from nuttin, but I thought Charles Daly was going out of business.

I've yet to own a 1911 or a Glock and even I can't really get into this.

What is Sacreligious, is the fact you called the SIGMA a Glock.:eek::mad:

Everyone knows the SIGMA is way better than any Glock.:D
