I'd say the one here sells more Glocks in the state of Ga than anyone else. Some of the clerks there have told me they get pallets of them in and ship em right back out to agencies they deal with. Ours has also cancelled its layaway program so I haven't bought anything in there for a while. They have the best price on the SR 1911 I've seen anywhere, thought about buying one just for the heck of it.

Ruger? I've heard many say that's not all that great of a 1911

Yeah? I haven't heard a whole lot of negative things about them, that and the price was the main reason I wanted one.

What do they want for them? And honestly no matter what they say about any 1911's I think they are hard to mess up by any manufacturers. I've yet to shoot one that I wouldn't but If the price was right... So far I have the Magnum DE1911G, an Essex arms frame with all custom hand fitted parts by a local gunsmith, and the RO by Springfield, soon to have the E series I like every one of them for some reason or other...

While I was looking at RO I was also considering the Ruger as well but the match barrel on the RO won

Yeah, I think it's a good price too. Thing is, I keep buying different stuff and never seem to get around to saving enough to buy one. I've got a Core 15 tac II on layaway right now. Don't know much about them so it's a risky buy I guess.

I've never fired the SR1911 tho I have an SR22 and a GP100 they are both great firearms so I can't see why the SR1911 would be anything less the SR series is a great product line
