Ruger SR1911CMD first range visit.

My first impression is that Ruger did a great job on the 1911. Fit and finish were very good for a gun in this price range. I did a quick trigger job on it prior to taking it to the range today. I fired 50rds of 230gr Blazer Brass FMJ and 20 rds of 230gr Speer Gold Dot JHP. There were no failures of any kind. The sights were well regulated for me and I was able to get sub 2in. groups off hand at 15yds. I paid $615.00 for this wonderful mid range commander size 1911. I can highly recommend this gun for any 1911 fan. :D

I stoned the trigger track smooth, polished the trigger stirrup with xf cratex bits inside and out polished the disconnector where it bears against the trigger stirrup, and polished the bearing surfaces on the leaf spring. It made a huge difference.

The Rugers are nice guns for the money. Glad you like yours.

How did it make a huge difference if you did the trigger job before taking it to the range? I love my Sr1911cmd. I highly recommend them.
