Having shot a few 1911s and owning a little over 50 at this time I say get the Ruger. I just got mine but have shot a friends a few times and it seems to be a little better in all catagories such as trigger pull, fit and finish, feel( a very subjective thing) and appearance ( another subjective item). Both are great weapons and fun to shoot. Your choice sir. Enjoy which ever you get and shoot the hell out of it.
