Just got one! Can't wait to shoot it. Always been a fan of 1911s. Love most guns. What do you guys think of the ruger sr1911? If you have one has it been good to you?

The owners of the elusive SR1911 love them, I never see them in stock.

Bought one three weeks ago at The Gun Room at the Grand

Bob always has a bunch in stock; not surprising as he is a former VP of Ruger

Love mine, but I haven't had time to run much through it.........

Handed it to my brother in law who carried one in Vietnam.
First thing he did was shake the crap out of it, and proclaimed

"This ain't no 1911. It doesn't rattle!"

A great 1911 for the money. Not a fan of the black but still love mine. Eats whatever I put through it. Fun gun as are most 1911's. Enjoy yours as I'm sure you will.

My favorite. I've had mine for about a year and there's not one single fault to that gun. It's was my first 1911 and I tried Colt, RI, Springfield, Kimber, Remington and an Ed Brown all of which were an option and the Ruger won for me, hands down
