As an old user of Ruger revolvers, I agree with you. Unfortunately, they were thick and heavy compared to S&W forged frames. I live up to my username, thinking that if I had to live/survive by one gun, it must be the strongest I can find. Worring, even if undeserved, that the frame may crack because it is cast - not forged - convinces me to work a little overtime, and buy a forged gun. Yes, time will tell, but time measurement is subjective, and I am too old to wait a decade to find out.

You youngbloods experiment for us old geezers!
