Went and shot about a hundred rounds through my new warrior last weekend, and it still seems to have the same problem, but i think i have better identified the symptoms so now maybe some of you can better diagnose. I hope its not AIDS......

The slide is locking back with ammo still in the mag. The slide lock is only slightly up into the notch in which it latches into to lock the slide back. With an empty mag the lever slides completely up into the notch locking it firmly into place. When i experience my problem the corner of the slide lock lever, and the corner of the notch are just barely touching each other.

Somehow the slide lock lever is flying up under recoil and barely locking the slide back with ammo still in the mag.

Does it lock back with any magazine, or does it have a favorite mag?

it dose it with every mag, im somewhat certain its not a mag problem

Check the tension of the plunger spring. Also check the face of the slide stop that connects with the plunger. Does it have a small groove and dimple in it?

It's possible that friction at the slide stop is being created when cartridges feeding towards the chamber move past it. Maybe a cartridge is pushing the slide stop into position and locking the slide to the rear when there are still rounds in the magazine. Just a thought.

My guess would be the slide stop, some times they need to be tuned in various ereas, might need to send it back to Kimber, or ask them for a new slide stop.
