I have been looking to buy a 1911 and have been hesitant to spend the money for the Sig. I have been looking at the RIA 1911 for a while, just curious if anybody has advice or a range report, any input is appreciated and thanks in advance.

While ordering my xdm 3.8 45c last night my shop let me take an ria back to shoot. I loved it and shot 50 rounds. Extremely accurate at any distance, especially for me LOL. Just a joy to shoot. I see one in my future.
My first 1911 was a gift from my wife which is a RIA 1911a2 which is a double stack version; holds 14 in the mag. I love this gun! My brother owns a single stack version. I can tell u with at least 3000 rounds in the last year I had no failures. I highly recommend for a decent price accurate gun. I consistently get great groupings. U can see my range testing/days on YouTube (search rugerjazzkohai). It is my home defense but used to be my carry. I've only shot a 5 inch barrel for the RIAs but would not go below a 3 inch. I own other 1911s that cost double to triple what the RIA cost but it's still on my will not sell/trade ever list.
