I currently carry the RIA compact pistol. I found a company that specializes in .45 PP ammo. They are called MAC Ammo and the .45 PPrds are called Razorbacks. They were specifically designed to address the feeding problems on 1911's with hollow points, and they feed like a dream, they also come in 40rd boxes instead of 20 so u can shoot a few and still have some left with out going broke. I've also found that if you only put 7 or 8 rds, depending on what model you have, instead of a full mag plus 1 in the pipe, your feed issues will disappear. I carry mine cocked and locked everywhere I go, a 1911 isn't going to go off until you squeeze and pull the trigger, there's no point in carrying a 1911 if it's not cocked and locked, an attacker sure as **** isn't going to "hold on" wile you cock your gun. I own 2 RIA 1911's that I carry and both are extremely safe, RIA is getting better every year with their guns! Not bad mouthing Colt but my RIA 1911 out shoots the old mans colt all day long! This is just my humble opinion. I'm very impressed by the ammo as well, I believe the company has a video on YouTube about the ammo and it's velocity and penetration. If anyone wants to check it out their website is. WWW.MAC-Ammo.com.

Due to the weight of the compact pistol the recoil is not very noticeable. Not like on the Para Warhog which has a very snappy recoil. It does not flip up as much as it lifts up. I hope you understand what I am saying on that last part because I think I confused myself.
