Default RIA 1911 in 9mm

Picked one up tonight but due to IL 3 day waiting period I won't get it until Friday. It is a standard GI model stripped down to basics but has a great feeling trigger and good looking grips. Nothing fancy but at $428 OTD I couldn't pass. A 9mm 1911 has been on my want list.

I'll try to get it to the range this weekend and put up a range report.

I bought one about a year ago, great gun. the only jam I've had is a FTF from an aftermarket 10 round mag.

you will run into naysayers belching that "if it isn't a .45 it isn't a real 1911" crap. let them shoot the gun & it will shut them up fast.

i agree! the caliber is less important to me. the 45 is the original caliber for sure, but not the only one that even Colt offered it in over the years.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my RIA tactical 9, it luvs steel case WPA/Wolf ammo.

Doc, for about 9 C notes you can get a Colt Talo 9mm GI style.

Picking up a sa range officer in 9mm for the wife around noonish today during lunch.

Traded off a older 1911 for it. I dont shoot full size 1911's much so it was no real loss to make a nice surprise for the wife.
